Content You Create

When you use our service, we store:

• Photos you upload for AI transformation (stored on Cloudflare R2)
• Custom activity prompts and scene descriptions you enter
• AI-generated intermediate images (stored on Cloudflare R2)
• AI-generated video files (stored on Cloudflare R2)

Usage Information

We automatically collect:

• Log data (IP address, browser type, operating system)
• Device information
• Usage statistics (tools used, videos generated, credits consumed)
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies
• Performance and error data

Payment Information

We do not store your complete credit card information. Payment details are handled securely by our payment processor, and we receive only transaction details (amount, status, transaction ID) for accounting and customer support purposes.

3. How We Store and Protect Your Data

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices:

• MongoDB Atlas — User accounts, credit balances, and generation history (encryption at rest)
• Cloudflare R2 — All uploaded and generated media (photos, images, videos) on secure cloud storage
• Clerk — Authentication and user identity (enterprise-grade security)
• All data transmission uses SSL/TLS encryption (HTTPS)

Data Retention

We retain your account and generation history for as long as your account is active. Uploaded photos are kept to support your generation history. You can delete individual videos or close your account at any time. After account closure, data is purged within 90 days.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Clerk — Authentication and user management
• MongoDB Atlas — Database hosting
• Cloudflare R2 — Media storage and delivery

• Replicate / xAI / MiniMax — AI image and video generation

Business Transfers

7. Children's Privacy

VidHero is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately so we can delete such information.

9. AI and Machine Learning

We use AI and machine learning to provide our core services:

• Uploaded photos and prompts are sent to AI providers (e.g. xAI, Replicate, MiniMax) for processing
• Photos are processed by AI models to generate a transformed image and then a video
• We may use anonymized and aggregated data to improve our prompting and pipelines
• Individual uploaded photos and generated videos are not used to train models without explicit consent
• All AI processing is performed securely through trusted third-party providers

9a. Content Safety & Moderation

VidHero is committed to maintaining a safe platform free from harmful or illegal content. As part of our content safety practices:

• All user-submitted prompts are reviewed for compliance with our Acceptable Use Policy
• Automated content filters are applied to all generation requests to detect and block prohibited content — including sexually explicit material, NSFW content, and hate speech
• We log and review generation requests to identify and prevent abuse
• Accounts found generating or attempting to generate prohibited content are suspended immediately and permanently
• We may retain flagged prompts and content for safety review, legal compliance, and abuse prevention
• Any detected child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is immediately reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA:
